Ever Wonder What the Difference is Between a Flyer,
Brochure or a Book?
Flyer: A flyer is a single sheet, comprising 2 pages(front & back) of which 1 or both may be printed.
Brochure: Basically it is a flyer that has been folded (not bound in any fashion), when you ask for a quote a flat & finished size is stated e.g.: 297x210 fold to 99x210 this would be called a 6pp DL (after folding there are 3 panels which have a front & back each of those becomes a page). e.g. a 6pp A4 folded to DL this is a 18pp DL Brochure (9 Panels - 18 pages) size will be 297x627 to 99x210
Book: A book is not a brochure, a book needs to be bound in some way to hold together, that could be stitched, perfect bound or even hardcase. Wiro or spiral is still a book. (It has been pointed out to me that in advertising circles, if a Book is used to sell products it is call a Brochure), I give up. |
